If it wasnt for C.A. law i wouldn't have to ask,whats a good quality cheap muffler?

I have a 2001 Mitsubishi eclipse and the person who had it before redid the exhaust by having it come about 2 feet out of the catalytic converter and drop,it sounds like a beast but its illegal :( so does anyone know a good loud but legal muffler that is also inexpensive. Yes, it saddens me to do this.
