Question about the Great Gatsby?

I read it a few months ago and now I have to write a paper on it. I'm wondering if Nick sees that Daisy changes/isnt the amazing person Gatsby thinks she is. I have "Nick realizes that Gatsby has created an illusion of Daisy", and my English teacher told me to explain w/ more detail..so any help?
