What is the name of an early/mid 90s TV movie?

I think it aired in the early to mid 90s. It is about a group of cadets on their first spaceship run. During the run the teachers are killed in an attack. The cadets vote on a new captain and they try to return to base. (the cadet that becomes the captain is an admiral's son.) They have to hide for the enemy and fix the ship. At one point one of the cadets are black-balled for trying to kill a fellow cadet. If you know the name can you please help me?
