My green card process still pending but my residency expired, what should I do ?

hi, i am currently in the united states for a visit. I am from Jordan but live in Kuwait. My green card was sent to Kuwait, but my residency in Kuwait has expired so i had to leave Kuwait. In this case what should i do ? are there any applications i can fill out to solve this issue ?.
